| Address | 3951 EMERSON AVE N | Sump pump usually kept running year round-water run off is directed into alley. (caused freeze up during winter when kept running) Recent rain downpour has water streaming out of pipe into alley. Concern over possible smell during hi heat spells and legality of flow into alley. Checked with city water area and informed it is not illegal to have going to alley or sidewalk; ideal area would be a green space area far enough from house not to leak back. It is just ground water, not sewer water and therefore should not smell. Caller states it is soaking into the concrete and is creating a smell. Another neighbor has talked to owners and never got a decent answer from them. Houses sitting on hard rock/slate about 7 feet down. Thinks maybe a city main leak going into their basement and wants that looked into. Will email Barb Johnson |
