| Address | James & 6th Aves North | Neighbor boy told MAS this information: • Said he knew where he could make $100 or more. When asked where, he said “Sixth and James”. I asked if he meant 26th and James but he said no, it was 6th and James. Said he had been with two other kids on bikes (at his cousin’s house) near there. The boys were stopped by an older kid (teenager) and asked if they wanted to make some money – maybe $100.00. They asked what they had to do and they were told pick up something and take it ‘across the street’. My neighbor said he didn’t want to do it. The teenager said that the only thing that happens usually is that if a cop stops the young kid, the cop will give them nothing more than a ticket. Then the older boy said once the cop has given the young kid a ticket, the kids can’t make money anymore – they have to stop doing the pickups. |
