ASSAULT
2135 IRVING TUESDAY 1836 HOURS 08-137622
22 year old black male w/23 CAPRS said “Gerard” an 18 – 19 year old black male fired several shots at him from a gray Chevrolet Malibu relating to an earlier matter.
2656 SHERIDAN TUESDAY 1850 HOURS 08-137637
A husband and wife confronted in front of their home by two white males and the verbal argument turned physical when a 3rd unknown party walked up to check on the husband. The suspects and unknown male began to fight and the male was stabbed in the back. Suspects flee however one was caught @ Broadway & Sheridan and the other one who ran into 2644 Sheridan which officers surrounded, ordered occupants out was arrested as he exited. Suspects positively ID’d. Victim transported w/non-life threatening wound. Resources: 840, 420, 422, 424, 430, 460, 404 and 710 and Car 9 advised. Arrested: Marvin & Anthony Waldahl, 32 & 29 year old white males w/82 & 88 CAPRS
26th & COLFAX WEDNESDAY 2115 HOURS 08-138954
18 year old black male w/18 CAPRS transported self to NMMC after being shot in the hand. Witness said he, victim and others were playing basketball when a group of black males approached and fired at them. No scene was found.
3614 FREMONT SATURDAY 2221 HOURS 08-142918
48 year old black male was struck and had a knife held to his throat by his roommate who threatened to kill him during an argument. Arrested: Leon Collins, 50 year old black male w/42 CAPRS
PLYMOUTH & PENN SUNDAY 1638 HOURS 08-143792
23 year old black male was beat up and had his car taken by three black males, one of which he’d meet the week prior, while meeting to discuss the sale of his 1984 Chev Caprice which is still on the hot sheet.
1600 BROADWAY SUNDAY 2004 HOURS 08-143948
38 year old black male w/19 CAPRS had his 95 Chev Caprice taken @ gunpoint by two 21-24 year old black males while at the Car Wash. Victim mumbled to himself that the suspects were southside Vice Lords. Vehicle still on hot sheet.
ROBBERY
4th & LOWRY TUESDAY 1957 HOURS 08-137713
Mankato University student had his laptop stolen a few days ago from his dorm room. He then solicited info from other students and was told by suspect one, he may know who took it. The victim met suspect one and another male, suspect two, downtown and was advised his laptop was on the Northside and he would have to drive them there. When they got to 31/4th St suspect two who was seated behind the victim pulled out a silver revolver, pressed it against victim’s neck and demanded his cash. The victim gave him $800 and fled on foot. Suspect one stated he didn’t know anything about the other male or the Robbery. Victim believes both males were involved. Mankato PD supposedly has an open case regarding the theft.

34 year old Hispanic male robbed of $85, ID and bank check card @ gunpoint by a 20-25 year old black male.
4200 DUPONT FRIDAY 2000 HOURS 08-144751
65 year old black male had his 92 Ford taken by three 16-21 females, two of which are known to him. Vehicle still on hot sheet.
701 THOMAS SATURDAY 0112 HOURS 08-141824
Three 23 & 25 year old black males w/61, 19 & 19 CAPRS robbed @ gunpoint of cash, phones and tennis by three males wearing dark masks and clothing. Victims believe a friend set them up.
1624 WASHINGTON SATURDAY 0141 HOURS 08-141863
59 year old white male, beat up and his wallet and keys were taken by a group of 10 black males as he paid for gas.
2301 IRVING SATURDAY 0150 HOURS 08-141884
While parking her car a 42 year old black female was punched in the face and removed from her vehicle by a 35-40 year old black male who she struggled with and eventually pepper sprayed in the face. Suspect drove the car into a clothes line pole and then fled on foot.
44th & PENN SATURDAY 1307 HOURS 08-142337
14 & 15 year old black females on the corner when three 18-20 year old black females approached and accused them of assaulting some unknown cousin. One suspect then hit the victims with a bag containing a can and another took $3 dollars from a victim. Victims ran into Dominoes Pizza where suspects followed however the employee chased them away. No injuries and suspects GOA.
525 HUMBOLDT SATURDAY 2241 HOURS 08-142953
44 year old back male w/14 CAPRS beaten and robbed of $150 and his phones by three black males.
2906 UPTON SUNDAY 0832 HOURS 08-143413
Officers responded to a male being beaten w/a bat by two black males. Shortly after arriving officers aired they were stopping a vehicle however it fled until crashing into a house at 37th & Sheridan. Occupants bailed, a perimeter was set with the aid of Golden Valley, Robbinsdale and Brooklyn Center as we didn’t have enough officers to cover the perimeter, search the perimeter and stay with the victim. Both suspects apprehended including the one hiding in a trash can. Victim, a 53 year old white male was transported with critical injuries. Suspects positively ID’d by all five witnesses. Minor damage to the house and a light pole was completely sheared off. Resources: three suburban police departments, 410, 420, 430, 424, 404, 406, 21, 710, fire and EMS. Arrested: Donyale Paige & Arramond Mims, 35 & 26 year old black males w/49 & 48 CAPRS
No less than seven citizens came up to the crash scene and thanked officers for catching the criminals and for the job we do
1155 7th STREET SUNDAY 2234 HOURS 08-144088
22 year old Hispanic male robbed @ gunpoint of $130 by a 3-35 year old black male who fled on a bike.
21st & LYNDALE SUNDAY 2320 HOURS 08-144151
15 year old black male w/28 CAPRS was out skateboarding when he was punched knocking him off his skate board and then robbed of $10.00 by three 20-25 year old black males who possibly had a gun. One suspect was heard saying “Come on Lorenzo, let’s go”. Victim, a cross country runner, chased the suspects to 26/Dupont.
PLYMOUTH & EMERSON MONDAY 1300 HOURS 08-144700
Two 23 year old white males from Winnipeg Manitoba were lost and when they stopped for directions were robbed @ knife point by three 25-30 year old black males. Loss was cash, jewelry, clothing, Mac, router, external hard drive and wireless xbox controllers.
29th & LOGAN MONDAY 2140 HOURS 08-145138
51 year old black male was robbed of his wallet, $100.00, “lucky” silver dollar and social security card @ gunpoint by four 16-18 year old black males as he walked home from NMMC.

NARC complaint where officers locate parties matching descriptions and recover a handgun, ski mask and gloves in possession of one suspect. In addition cocaine and 110 grams of marijuana were recovered. Resources: 424, 460 and CRT. Arrested: Lonzell Edwards, Demarcus Washington, Robert Buckney & Sidney Petty, black males, 20, 21, 29 & 22, years old w/24, 58 48 & 24 CAPRS
3428 PENN FRIDAY 1041 HOURS 08-140794
1280, Gang Strike Task Force and Sherburne County served a warrant and recovered hand gun, a replica revolver and several rounds of ammo. Arrested: Brian Nelson AKA Thanatos Ahsing, 37 year old mixed race male, a convicted felon
51 COLFAX FRIDAY 1246 HOURS 08-140904
CRT warrant recovered a 38 caliber handgun from a vehicle whose owner was arrested for narcotics two days prior 08-138987.
2201 GIRARD FRIDAY 2037 HOURS 08-141419
Responding to a SHOTS call officers observed two males, one of which throws a gun to the ground and then flees on foot. Arrested: Johnathon Harris, 26 year old black male w/47 CAPRS who dosen’t have a permit to carry and was holding Ecstasy and marijuana
3301 BRYANT FRIDAY 2045 HOURS 08-141444
Female had her car window shot out w/a BB gun. Arrested was a 15 year old black male w/9 CAPRS
2619 LOGAN SATURDAY 1259 HOURS 08-142334
Officer attempted to stop a car @ Broadway & Logan for excessive noise however the driver flees as the officer approaches the car. During a short pursuit the driver pulled over but then again fled, drove onto the walk between two houses, hit a wooden fence and fled on foot however was caught at 26th/Logan. Officer recovered a Glock with an extended magazine, a Deringer and a bullet proof vest. Arrested: Donald Bell, 27 year old black male w/50 CAPRS
1516 PLYMOUTH MONDAY 2315 HOURS 08-145255
Traveling on Plymouth officers observe a male who appeared to be concealing a gun behind his back and fled when he saw officers however was caught and a loaded 380 was recovered. Arrested: James Woodard, 23 year old black male w/19 CAPRS
29TH & RUSSELL MONDAY 2335 HOURS 08-145283
Officers flagged down by a black male who said he was just robbed and points out the suspect vehicle which was leaving the area. Officers told the victim to standby and pursed the vehicle and upon searching it due to the driver not having a valid license locate a loaded handgun. When officers returned to find the victim he was GOA. Arrested: Christopher Walker and Tristen Jacox, 19 & 18 year old black males w/11 & 5 CAPRS for Weapons and Warrant.
2027 2nd STREET MONDAY 0030 HOURS 08-145319
Officer conducting surveillance @ Stand-Up Franks observed a male arguing with an employee outside the business. The suspect then pulls out a gun and fires a shot, gets into a vehicle and begins to leave the area. Information is aired and K-9 Officer observes the vehicle and stops it @ 22/Washington. The suspect is in the vehicle however officers were unable to locate a gun in the car so K-9 backtracks and finds by Stand-Up Franks a 380 caliber w/altered serial numbers recovered. Nice job!! Arrested: Ambres Palmer, 24 year old black male w/22 CAPRS

700 West Broadway – Tuesday - 1030 hours -08-137243. Store employee asked a loud and disruptive customer to leave but instead the customer began threatening to come back and shot the employee and upon returning he assaulted two employees. Arrested: Johntez Randle for assault and crack cocaine possession and Davontae Mchie & Eugene Tate for warrants, 22 & 19 year old black males w/75, 36 & 46 CAPRS
1712 Fremont – Wednesday – 2150 hours – 08-138987. Responding to a SHOTS call officers observed two males in a car and one standing outside it. One male from inside then exited and fled but was caught after a foot chase. In addition to marijuana seen in plain view a search of the car recovered more. Arrested: Ray Sole, Renaldo Sept & Jerry Calhoun, 29, 21 & 20 year old black males w/3, 12 & 43 CAPRS
26th & Emerson – Thursday – 1022 hours – 08-139508. Officers stop a car for failing to stop at a red light, recognize occupants from previous search warrants and recover marijuana and crack cocaine in the car. Arrested for warrants, false info and drugs were Williams Starks & Mark Stephenson, 32 and 46 year old black males w/7 & 18 CAPRS. 32 & 46 year old black males w/18 & 64 CAPRS also ID’d
5225 Knox – Thursday – 1842 hours - 08-140042. Officers responded to an attempted Burglary and upon speaking with callers learned suspect attempted to break into a couple of residences. The callers provided a good description and while checking the area officers locate him @ 53rd & Russell and he was ID’d. Arrested: Dylan Johnson an 18 year old black male w/3 CAPRS
3546 Humboldt – Friday – 0112 hours – 08-140470. Using confidential informant information officers stopped a party with a quantity of cocaine who decided to cooperate saying he’d order $200.00 of cocaine from his source. Arrangements made and when the supplier arrived he was arrested for Loitering with Intent to Distribute Narcotics. Recovered was $200.00 worth of cocaine and $2,407.00. Good proactive work. Arrested: Gregory Hornsby, 29 year old black male w/8 CAPRS
26th & Penn – Friday – 1824 hors – 08-141241. Officers dispatched to an Assault in Progress and upon arrival the suspect vehicle flees. Officers stop the vehicle and recover an ounce of methamphetamine and $945 cash. Arrested: Anderson Todd & Latarey Brocks, 56 and 25 year old black males w/11 & 18 CAPRS
2806 Aldrich – Friday – 2218 hours – 08-141556. Responding to a FIGHT officers arrive and a large group of juveniles flee. A 48 year old female told officers a female came to her house along with 12 to 15 friends and threatened physical violence, wanting to fight victim’s granddaughter. Victim stated this was the third time this month this has occurred. Using the suspect’s description she was located at a bus stop on 27th and Lyndale and ID’d as the instigator. Arrested for RIOT was a 15 year old black female w/10 CAPRS
621 29th Avenue – Saturday – 0020 hours – 08-141749. Officers responded to an in progress FIGHT at Fairview Park and upon arrival encounter five juveniles loitering and violating curfew and transported home were four black males and one white female, 17 years old with one male having 9 CAPRS
3015 Thomas – Saturday – 1315 hours – 08-142342. In the area checking for a theft suspect officers saw an Eden Prairie stolen. Arrested: David Fleming, 35 year old black male w/7 CAPRS who originally gave a false name so officers wouldn’t find out about his warrants.
1300 Theodore Wirth Parkway – Saturday - 1545 hours - 08-142460. Park Agents flagged down by a party who observed five to six 16 – 18 year old white and black males sitting at a picnic table and when they left a grenade was seen on the table top. Bomb Squad was called and recovered a hollow grenade. Resources: 460 days, 462 Mids, 404, 866, 807 and Bomb.
3551 Newton – Sunday – 0307 hours - 08-143272. 4th Precinct and Park Officers responded to a PARTY call and upon arrival observe approximately 50 people in the street. Officers called for assistance to clear the house and sent approximately 100 people. Officers were handed a replica handgun by an exiting partier. Kamara Togbah, 68 year old black male tagged for Disruptive Party.
3101 6th Street – Sunday – 1808 hours - 08-143860. Officers responded to a NARC call and recovered crack cocaine, ecstacy and marijuana and arrested four. Arrested: Terrell Roberson, Chasaray Walker, Gary White & Leola Jackson, 21, 29, 31 & 27 year old black males and female w/76, 101, 55 & 21 CAPRS
Lowry & Washington – Sunday – 2049 hours - 08-144026. Investigative stop of a vehicle during which suspected narcotics were observed in plain view on the floor of the vehicle. Field tests revealed the narcotic was methamphetamine which weighed in at several grams. Arrested: Genita Taylor & James Rice, 25 & 21 year old black female and male w/ & 10 & 6 CAPRS
31st & 6th Street – Sunday – 2142 hours – 08-144028. Officers arrested two for Loitering with Intent to Sell Narcotics. Arrested: Khameron Lake & Nathaniel Jones, 32 & 19 year old black males w/45 & 28 CAPRS
416 31st Avenue – Monday – 1312 hours - 08-144601. Officers have a male flee from them after they observe him drop suspected crack cocaine and check 416 31st after an anonymous caller said he ran into the address. Officer posted at the rear of the address observes a female lean out an upstairs window and hide suspected crack in the rain gutter. Original male could not be positively ID’D. Arrested: Cherelle Davis, 18 year old black female w/2 CAPRS
CRT – DIRECTED PATROL - BROADWAY BEAT - MIDDLE & DOG WATCH OFFICER DETAILS
Monday - Officers stopped a vehicle for speeding and failure to signal a lane change. The driver admitted not having a license and as he was escorted from his vehicle 34 grams of crack cocaine fell out of his shorts. During a search of the vehicle officers located a handgun in the spare tire well. One arrested for Narcotics and Weapons
Monday - Officers stopped a car for failing to dim high beams and found driver to be CANC-IPS & an Anoka County Felony warrant.
Tuesday - Officer stopped a car amplified sound from motor vehicle and turn signal violation and found the driver with a suspended license. During the vehicle search suspected crack cocaine was found hidden inside the center console. One arrested for Narcotics.
Wednesday - Officers observed a male riding a motorcycle and routine checks showed the motorcycles plates were impounded for alcohol. Driver issued a citation in lieu of arrest for display unlawful plates and the motorcycle was impounded.
Wednesday - Officers checked the listed vehicle’s registration and found that the registered owner had a canceled license. The vehicle was stopped and the owner was found to be driving so was issued a citation for Driving after Cancellation. System checks on the passenger showed a Dakota County Felony warrant for which he was booked.
Thursday - Officers conducted a traffic stop for failure to signal a turn and the driver bails however is apprehended after a short foot chase and search incident to arrest officers located suspected crack cocaine on his person. One booked for Narcotics.
Thursday - Officers observed a car at a high rate of speed and upon checking registration find owners’ drivers license is suspended. Upon stopping it officers observed an open container of Vodka as well as a strong odor of unburnt marijuana. During a search of vehicle and occupants officers locate four ounces of weed. One booked for Narcotics and one cited and released for open bottle.
Thursday - Officer recognized a male they knew to have a felony warrant so conducted a Knock and Talk and took the male into custody without incident. One booked for a confirmed felony and misdemeanor warrants.
Friday - Officers checked vehicle plates and found them reported stolen so stopped the vehicle and driver was taken into custody. A VIN check found the vehicle was also stolen. During booking process, suspected methamphetamines were found on the driver and it was discovered he was using a false name. One booked for Receiving and Concealing, Narcotics and False Information.
Saturday - Officer attempted A stop on a vehicle for XSOUND but driver fled. After a short distance suspect crashed into a fence and fled on foot. During the foot chase he threw a loaded handgun and a backpack containing another handgun and bullet proof vest. One arrested for Flee, Weapons and Receiving and Concealing as checks found one of the guns to be a St. Paul stolen.
Saturday - Officers stopped a car for displaying a for sale sign in the rear window and found driver to be CANC-IPS. One booked.
Monday - Officers stopped a car for a non-functioning brake light and observed a strong odor of unburnt marijuana. During further investigation officers conducted a search which found suspected heroin and weed on the driver. One booked Narcotics and Canc-IPS.
JACT - Personnel from Mpls Juvenile Division, 4th Precinct Officers, Minneapolis Park Police, Hennepin County Sheriff Deputies, Hennepin County Juvenile Probation & Deputy US Marshals made the following contacts and or arrests in the Fourth Precinct. All warrants confirmed prior to beginning field operations and at each location officers explained the purpose and objectives of JCAT.
Male @ 14XX Knox. Active: Domestic Abuse/Strangulation. Priors: Domestic Assault x3, Narcotics, Curfew, Disorderly Conduct, Fell Police on Foot, Narcotics Loitering, Weapons and Robbery of Person. Address found vacant. On a prior date officers checked 55XX Garfield S and made phone contact with a family member who refused to identify themselves.
Male @ 18XX Bryant. Active: Assault. Priors: Curfew, Lurking and Damage to Property. Officers learned he moved.
Male @ 23XX West Broadway, 52XX Emerson, 29XX Washburn, 27XX Queen and 13XX Dowling #XXX. Multiple interviews conducted over a three hours. Active: Attempted Theft from Person. Priors: Curfew x2, Aggravated Robbery of Person, Burglary of Business, Motor Vehicle Tampering, Assault 5, Disorderly Conduct and Damage to Property. At 23XX Broadway officers discovered his girlfriend and multiple others who admitted he routinely comes there, sneaking in at night. Officers located known female juvenile who was arrested on active Curfew & Park Ordinance Violation warrants and has priors of Curfew and Shoplift. Officers spoke with employees at a gas station since its known he hangs there and later in the day officers received a call saying he was at the store so they went and arrested him. During the arrest he gave his twin brother’s name. Both males are known Tre Tre gang members.
Officers checked two males on the street during school hours both being reported Taliban gang members. Active: Escape. Priors: Curfew x2, Auto Theft, Flee Police in Motor Vehicle and Disorderly Conduct.
Female @ 33XX Thomas. Active: Assault. Priors: Assault. Subject is a known girl friend of a wanted juvenile male who officers were looking for today. Officers conducted on-scene interviews and also encountered and arrested known juvenile female on an active warrant and priors of Curfew and Theft x2.
Female @ 7XX Oliver. Active: Aid Abet Aggravated Robbery of Person x2. Priors: None. Officers knocked for an extended period of time without response and eventually observed persons peering through an upper window. Eventually contact was made and dialogue ensued with persons thru a locked door and officers learned subject was inside. Dialog continued and eventually officers were allowed entry and she was arrested. After the arrest, persons at the scene remarked how calm and professional officers were.
Male @ 25XX Upton. Active: Narcotics. Priors: Aid Abet Assault 2 (shooting), Narcotics, Curfew and Theft. Subject has a brother and both have identical tattoos in the same area of their bodies. Officers made contact with a parent and another person and obtained consent to search and conducted on-scene interviews. Persons claimed they didn’t know the subjects whereabouts. Officers then went to 5XX University SE where they knocked for an extended period of time without response. Officers persisted and subject came to the door and was arrested. Officers encountered others inside including a brother wanted on an active Ramsey & Dakota County Felony warrants for Receiving and Concealing, Theft and False Representation. JCAT has investigated and arrested them in the past in possession of Firearms, Ammunition and Illicit Drugs.
Male @ 40XX Lyndale. Active: Disorderly Conduct. Priors: Curfew x3, Obstruct Legal Process, Runaway and Disorderly Conduct x2. Officers found subject and his family recently moved from that location and has been a reported Runaway on 5 occasions.
Male @ 32XX Upton. Active: Escape. Priors: Curfew x3 & Robbery of Person. Officers encountered his sibling who reported seeing him the previous day near Penn & Broadway and that he is on run and not attending school. Open investigation.
Male @ 14XX Thomas. Active: Theft. Priors: Curfew x3, Disorderly Conduct, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Receiving and Concealing. Officers encountered family members who report he is on run, not attending school, and his whereabouts are unknown.
Male @ 14XX Thomas. Active: Priors: Narcotics x10, Narcotics Loitering x9, Curfew x6, Motor Vehicle Tampering x2 and Assault. Subject is a known YNT gang member. Subject not on scene. Open investigation.
Male @ 5XX Oliver. Active: Disorderly Conduct x2, Motor Vehicle Tampering, Park Curfew Ordinance. Priors: Curfew x4, Motor Vehicle Tampering & Domestic Assault. Officers found he no longer lives there and went to 27XX Plymouth however no contact made.
